Explore dense tropical forests, meandering rivers and tranquil lagoons as you delve into a rich and mysterious ecosystem. - Wildlife in the Peruvian Amazon: Manu is home to an incredible variety of wildlife, from colorful tropical birds like macaws and toucans to jaguars, sloths and monkeys. You will have the opportunity to observe these creatures in their natural habitat. - Jungle Adventure: Your adventure will include exciting boat rides through jungle rivers, hikes along natural trails and explorations of hidden lagoons. Itinerary
- We will leave Cusco very early in the morning in one of our vehicles. We will cross interesting valleys between the Andes mountains and picturesque rural communities. We will visit the pre-Inca tombs of the Lupaca culture and then we will stop in Paucartambo, a beautiful colonial city, and visit the interesting museum of the city. Along the way, we will have lunch in the cloud forest. We will continue our descent through the cloud forest, an area rich in endemic species, such as the spectacled bear and the rock rooster, the Peruvian national bird that performs a unique courtship ritual. We can also see orchids, bromeliads, ferns, etc. We will continue observing the spectacular nature throughout our trip until we reach our lodge, Pilcopata, where we will spend our first night.
