General description
Salkantay Trek 3 Días 2 Noches
The Salkantay Trek 3D/2N program has been designed for travelers looking for a deeper experience than the short versions, but without committing as many days as the longer expeditions. This alternative allows you to enjoy the main natural settings of the Salkantay circuit while maintaining a balanced and accessible pace.
The adventure begins in the landscapes of Soraypampa, where the snow-capped mountains dominate the horizon and announce the greatness of the route. From the beginning, travelers experience the immensity of the Andes and the energy of one of the most impressive regions of Peru.
One of the highlights of the tour is the visit to Humantay Lagoon. Its turquoise waters fed by melting glaciers offer one of the most famous postcards of Cusco and are an essential stop for photography lovers.
The expedition continues towards the Salkantay Pass, the highest point of the route. Reaching this area represents one of the most exciting moments of trekking, as it allows you to observe extraordinary panoramic views of the Nevado Salkantay and the surrounding valleys.
Later, the route descends into sectors of cloud forest where the vegetation becomes more abundant and the climate more temperate. This change in ecosystems makes the Salkantay Trek an extremely diverse experience from a landscape point of view.
During the walk it is also possible to see rural communities, agricultural areas and trails used by Andean residents for generations.
The combination of mountains, glaciers, forests and local culture makes this tour a complete experience for travelers seeking adventure and connection with nature.
